IRISH AND ENGLISH STUDENTS HELP
SE LOUISIANA WIN TEAM TITLE

Students from Ireland and England helped their university, Southeast Louisiana, win the team event in the Louisiana Classic at Oakbourne Country Club, Lafayette earlier this week.
Aaron O'Callaghan finished joint fourth and his team-mate Peter O'Keeffe, also from Cork came joint 25th.
O'Callaghan, a sophomore student, had rounds of 70, 67 and 73 for a six-under-par total of 210 over the par-72, 7,141yd course. O'Keeffe, a junior student, scored 68, 75 and 76 for a total of 219.
Two more Southeast Louisiana students, James Taverner from London, and Graham Benson from Leighton Buzzard finished joint 55th and joint 61st respectively on 226 and 228 respectively.
Taverner had rounds of 76, 73 and 77, Benson 76 75 and 77.
Gary Woodland (Kansas) won the individual honours with fine scores of 70, 65 and 70 for 11-under-par 205 - three fewer than Patrick Nagle (Illinois).
In the team event, contested by 15 colleges, Southeast Louisiana totalled 851. Runners-up Lamar University scored 857 and Baylor from Texas 859.
