HANNAH BURKE LYING JT 5th AT AUSTIN, TEXAS

Hannah Burke from Hertfordshire, a freshman student at Baylor University, Texas, is in joint fifth place at the end of the first round of the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational women's college tournament over the University of Texas golf course (6,290yd, par-72) at Austin.
Hannah returned a score of only two-over-par 74 after starting with a double bogey 6 at the first hole. She went on birdied the second, sixth and 13th. She had bogeys at the eighth, ninth and 11th in halves of 38 and 36.
For Baylor team-mate and compatriot Sian Reddick it was not such a happy day. She finished on 12-over-84, finishing with a quadruple bogey 8 at the 18th in halves of 41 and 43. Earlier she had had double bogeys at the ninth and 10th and only one birdie, at the 4th.
Miss Reddick is lying joint 73rd of 88 players.

DAWN-MARIE CONATY HAS TRIPLE BOGEY 6
In the Louisiana State University Cleveland Classic at Baton Rouge, US Curtis Cup player Amanda Blumenherst continued her excellent form of late to lead with a first round 68, four under par.
Ireland's Dawn-Marie Conaty (Memphis) had a 77 to be in joint 32nd position in a field of 108 players.
Dawn-Marie had a triple bogey 6 at the short 13th but birdies at the fifth, 11th and 16th.
