CALDWELL ONE UNDER PAR BUT ONLY
JT 16th IN TEXAS BORDER OLYMPICS

Johnny Caldwell (South Alabama Univesity), a junior year student from Belfast, finished joint 16th in a field of 80 with a one-under-par total of 215 for the three-round Border Olympics college tournament at Laredo Country Club, Laredo in Texas.
Caldwell had rounds of 74, 72 and 69 to finish nine shots behind the winner, Justin Harding (Lamar). Harding had scores of 71, 67 and 68 for a 10-under-par total of 206 over a long course of 7,241yd with a par of 72.
Lamar University (835) won the team event by a big margin from Baylor (854) with Vanderbilt (858) third. South Alabama (869) finished eighth in a field of 15 teams.
