BAD WEATHER GIVES GEMMA A
BREAK IN WOLVERINE EVENT

Play had to be suspended because of bad weather before the completion on Saturday of the second round in the Wolverine Invitational women’s college tournament at Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The 54-hole event will now be completed on Sunday (the organisers hope).
Scotland international Gemma Webster (Ohio State University) was probably glad of the break. It may give her a chance to regroup on Sunday and start climbing the scoreboard.
At the moment the Hiltin Park player is 15 over par for the tournament. She completed her first round in 10-over-par 81 for the 6,098yd, par-71 course.
Starting at the seventh in her second round, she had a birdie (her first of the day) at the ninth but a double bogey at the 13th and bogeys at the seventh, eighth, 10th and 16th.
Brianna Broderick (Michigan) was the first-round leader with a one-under-par 70.
