DAWN MARIE WAS JUST THE GIRL
FOR THE MEMPHIS VICTORY PARTY!

Dawn Marie Conaty from Dublin, who transferred from North Carolina State University to the University of Memphis for this her junior year as a student, has helped her new college win their first team title since April 2005.
Dawn Marie, pictured right, after disappointing scores of 84 and 82 in the first two rounds of the Wildcat Fall Invitational at the University Club of Kentucky, Lexington, suddenly hit peak form to return a 73 in the final round for a total of 239 and a share of 27th place individually in a field of 83 players.
That big improvement was certainly the key to Memphis totalling 929 – four ahead of Augusta State with North Carolina State – Dawn Marie’s old team-mates – in third place with 937 in a field of 15 colleges.
Not many people know this but the 21-year-old Dawn Marie, the Irish girls champion of 2001, is also a talented musician. She can play the piano, accordion, tin whistle and fiddle all to a high standard. Just the girl for the party that the Memphis team held to celebrate their victory in Lexington.
