WOLVERINE INVITATIONAL

GEMMA STRUGGLES IN MICHIGAN

Gemma Webster is not playing well today in the Wolverine Invitational women's college tournament at Ann Arbor, Michigan. It's a three-round event with two rounds on the Saturday but the Scotland international from Glasgow, now in her second year at Ohio State University, is toiling early in the second round.
She had a 10-over-par 81 in the first round over the relatively short (6,098yd), par-71 course. She had not a single birdie but a double bogey at the 15th and eight bogeys liberally spread either side of that.
Things have not got better for Gemma in the second round. She did get a birdie but it has been outnumbered by bogeys after a few holes of the round.
Brianna Broderick (Michigan) set the first-round pace with a 70 to lead by two shots from Stephany Fleet (Eastern Michigan) and Laura Nochta (Indiana).
+We'll have more American college golf news for you on Sunday morning. Also coming up for you on Sunday evening, scores in the East of Scotland women's championship at Stirling.
