VICKI POWER JOINT THIRD IN
MOUNTAIN SHOOT-OUT

Irish junior international Vicki Power finished joint third in the Mountain Shoot-out women’s college tournament at Continental Country Club, Flagstaff in Arizona.
Vicki, 21, pictured right, had rounds of 77 and 73 for a total of six-over-par 150, the same as Northern Arizona University team-mate Ali Carter.
They finished two shots behind winner Anna Booth (San Diego State) who had a pair of 74s to win by one shot from team-mate Maki Kamimura with 74 and 75.
Northern Arizona (638) finished fourth in the team event behind winners Cal Poly (606).
“I was a lot more consistent today. I had a couple of mental lapses that cost me a lot of shots in the first round. Today I was more confident. I knew I could hit the pins I was trying to hit,” said Vicki.
Northern Arizona University head golf coach Tom McCurdy said: “Vicki played outstandingly today. She hit a lot of fairways and a lot of greens. She finished strong to post a good number.”
