SCOTTISH VETERAN LADIES' QUARTER-FINALS

Torwoodlee’s Liz Campbell is the only former title-winner through to Monday morning’s semi-finals in the Scottish Veteran Ladies GA championship over the Lansdowne course, Blairgowrie.
In Sunday’s quarter-finals, delayed because of heavy rain, Liz beat Margaret McGregor (Dumfries & Co) by 6 and 5 and will now play Noreen Fenton (Merchants of Edinburgh). Noreen beat Jean Brydson (Castle Douglas) by 6 and 4.
The other semi-final will feature Kathleen Sutherland (Royal Montrose), a 4 and 2 winner against Vivien Welsh (Elgin), and Helen Faulds (Douglas Park), 4 and 2 conqueror of the Scottish senior women’s match-play champion Fiona de Vries (St Rule).
