SCOTLAND SENIORS TEAM

SCOTLAND WOMEN’S TEAM NAMED FOR
SENIOR INTERNATIONALS AT HAMILTON

The Scottish Ladies Golfing Association selectors have chosen the Scotland team for the Senior Women’s Home Internationals at Hamilton Golf Club from October 3 to 5.
It is:
Lorna Bennett (Ladybank), Liz Campbell (Torwoodlee), Helen Faulds (Douglas Park), Noreen Fenton (Merchants of Edinburgh), Moira Thomson (North Berwick), Fiona De Vries (St Rule), Pamela Williamson (Baberton).
Reserves – 1 Kathleen Sutherland (Royal Montrose), 2 Ruth Brown (Lothianburn).
Six of the Scotland team were members of the Scottish line-up that won the Veteran Ladies Golf Association area team championship at Formby, Lancashire a few weeks ago – Bennett, Campbell, Fenton, Thomson, De Vries and Williamson.
England will be bidding to win the senior women’s home internationals’ trophy for a fourth successive year with the following players:
Geraldine Bray (Littlestone), Carole Caldwell (Sunningdale), Susan Pickles (Lee on the Solent), Chris Quinn (Hockley), Chris Stirling (Meon Valley), Christine Watson (Beaconsfield), Pat Wrightson (Huddersfield).
Non-travelling reserves: Sue Westall (Copt Heath), Jeannie O’Keeffe (Guildford Ladies).
