KATHARINA FIGHTS BACK TO REACH FINAL
Germany's Katharina Schallenberg fought back from two down after eight holes to beat Stacy Lewis from The Woodlands, Texas in the first semi-final of the United States women's amateur championship at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in Oregon on Saturday.
Katharina, 26, playing in the tournament for the first time, won through at the 19th.
In Sunday's 36-hole final, Katharina, who finished runner-up to Krystle Caithness in this year's St Rule Trophy over the Old Course, St Andrews, having earlier won the Women's Sherry Cup in Spain, will play 14-year-old Kimberley Kim from Hawaii.
Kimberley beat Lindy Duncan, 15, from Plantation, Florida in the second semi-final.
