SUNDAY'S MACKIE BOWL
MACKIE BOWL SCORES
Organiser Anne Brownie has promised to supply kirkwoodgolf with the scores from the 36-hole Mackie Bowl at Gullane on Sunday evening. So you won't have to wait for Monday morning's newspapers - and they are never guaranteed to publish any women's golf - you can get the information on this website.
News from Anne is that Krystle Caithness, winner of the Scottish Under-21 girls title at Stirling on Friday with an astonishing 20-under-par total for three rounds, has withdrawn. Krystle feels a little bit overgolfed at the moment.
Katy McNicoll (Carnoustie Ladies), runner-up to Krystle at Stirling, has gone down with a bug and is also out of the field.
Scottish champion Martine Pow had intended playing in the Mackie Bowl but her British mid-amateur championship win at Nairn has got her a place in this coming week's Women's British Open so she too will be missing from the field at Gullane.
"But it's still a very good field of around 40 players," said Anne Brownie.
