NEWMACHAR WOMEN'S OPEN

PAT WILSON PIPS DAUGHTER CAROL FOR FIRST PLACE

Murcar’s Pat Wilson beat her daughter Carol into second place in the Newmachar Women’s Open tournament today. Pat, a member of the Scottish Ladies Golfing Association executive, returned a score of 79 – six over par but only two over the CSS on a windy day.

Carol Wilson, also a Murcar member, was runner-up with an 82.

The field of 69 was the biggest in recent years for the annual event.

Scratch – Pat Wilson (Murcar) 79; Carol Wilson (Murcar) 82; Kim Moggach (Hazlehead) 83 (better last 6 holes); Julie Henderson (Inverurie) 83.

Handicap – Mary Horn (Newmachar) (13) 74; Hayley Thomson (Newmachar) (14) 76; Mary Miller (Cruden Bay) (15) 77; R Malcolm (Bathgate) (16) 79.

BRONZE DIVISION
