PAR ROUND BY CLARE BUT JOINT 45TH PLACE
Clare Queen matched the par of 71 in the first round of the OTP Bank Ladies Central European Open at Old Lake Golf and Country Club in Hungary. But there were so many low scores that the Scot finished the day sharing 45th place.
Clare birdied the short eighth and 17th and bogeyed the fourth and 15th in a steady round.

Julie also had a solitary birdie, at the 11th, and bogeyed the second, fourth and 12th.
Inverness-based New Zealader Liz McKinnon is in joint114th place after a six-over-par 77 which included bogeys at the third, fourth, fifth, eight, 16th and 18th. She had a double bogey at the ninth in reaching the turn in 40. She did have two birdies, at the seventh and 15th.
