CHIBERTA GRAND PRIX

CLARK TURNS DOWN SGU INVITATION

Stephen Clark (Haggs Castle) has been unable to accept an invitation to represent Scotland in the Chiberta Grand Prix tournament near Biarritz, France from Thursday to Sunday. He is competing in the Open Final Qualifying on Monday and Tuesday.
The two other players selected, Callum Macaulay (Tulliallan), winner of the West of Scotland Open this season, and Duncan Stewart from Grantown-on-Spey, who had a successful 2005-2006 college season for Jacksonville University, Florida, will definitely play.
The Chiberta Grand Prix is a 72-hole stroke-play championship in which there seems to be no definite age limit.
Graham Fox (West Kilbride) was the last Scot to win the individual title in 1998.
