ANGUS MEN'S STROKE-PLAY

THE BELLS WERE RINGING AT

PANMURE BARRY

The Bells were certainly ringing at Panmure Barry Golf Club today when Graeme Bell (Downfield) won the weather-curtailed Angus men's stroke-play golf championship with a round of five-under-par 66.

Graeme's son Ross, also a Downfield member, finished third on 69, the same score as runner-up Campbell Donaldson (Downfield) who has a better inward half.

Ross Bell did have the consolation of winning the Angus youths championship staged in conjunction with the main event.

George Findlay (Panmure Barry) was runner-up with a 73 and Craig Storrier (Downfield) third with a 76.

Thunder and lightning over the course forced the Angus officials to abandon the second round.
