SCOTTISH SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIPS\

MICHELE AND ROSS WIN INDIVIDUAL TITLES


Michele Thomson from Ellon and Ross Bell (Dundee City) won the individual titles at The Doyal Bank of Scotland schools championships over the Troon Darley and Lochgreen courses on Monday.
Michele (North Aberdeenshire) totalled 154 with 71 and 83 to win the girls' title by two shots from Megan Briggs (Renfrewshire) (77-79) with Jane Turner (City of Edinburgh) third on 157 (82-75).
The girls' CSS was 75 and 74.
Renfrewshire (339) won the girls' team event from Angus (334) and East Lothian (340).
Ross Bell won the boys' championship with rounds of 71 and 72 for 143. Runner-up was Michael Dailey (Renfrewshire) with James Byrne (South Aberdeenshire) third on 146 (71-75).
Dumfries & Galloway won the boys' team event from West Dunbartonshire with Dundee City third.
