HALF A WASHOUT AT BONNYTON

 

JOHN McTEAR WINS TOP PRIZE WITH 70 

 

Heavy rain washed out the afternoon play in the BMI Ross Hall Hospital/Lexus double shotgun pro-am at Bonnyton Golf Club today

A prize list was drawn up by tournament director Hugh Malcolm on the scores returned by the field who started at 8.30am.

John McTear (North Gailes) won the top pro prize of £560 with a two-under-par round of 70 – one shot ahead of Finlay Menzies (Milngaive), Scott Garrett (East Renfrewshire) and Jim McKinnon (Irvine).

Duncan Williamson (Kirkhill) led the Bonnyton Golf Club trio of Nilam Purewall (3), Kevin Ockrim (15) and Peter Cassidy (17) to victory in the team event with a net score of 19-under-par 125.
