ASHTON INGRAM HITS FORM ON HOME COURSE
Northern Counties team player Ashton Ingram has cut two shots off her home course women's record at Fort William. She already shared the old mark of 70.
Now young Ashton has shot a three-under-par 68 in her club's Captain's Prize and Gleneagles Medal competition.
She had a hat-trick of birdies at the third, fourth and fifth before stumbling to a double-bogey 6 and a bogey 5 at the eighth in reaching the turn in level par 37.
Miss Ingram's only deviations from par after the turn were birdies at the 13th and 14th en route to a three-under-par inward half of 31.
