WOMEN’S BIG-10 CONFERENCE
CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS
Karen Dennison (Indiana) and Allison Hanna (Ohio State) tied for the top individual spot in the Women’s Big-10 Conference championship at Finkbine golf course in Iowa City.
They both finished on two-over-par 294 after four rounds over the 6,053yd, par-73 course and there was no play-off.
Ohio State retained the team title.

BARRY WINS SHAMASH TROPHY
AT DUMFRIES & GALLOWAY

Host club player Barry Scott matched former Walker Cup player Barclay Howard’s tournament record of three wins with a three-shot victory from a field of 80 for the Shamash Trophy 36-hole men’s open event at Dumfries & Galloway on Sunday.
Scott, the holder, had scores of 70 and 67 for a three-under-par total of 137, very good scoring in adverse weather conditions.
John Longcake (Silloth) was runner-up with scores of 69 and 71 for level par 140.
