PRESS RELEASE

WALKER CUP TICKET PRICES

Tickets for the this year’s Walker Cup match at Ganton Golf Club, Yorkshire on September 6 and 7 go on sale to the general public on Thursday, May 1. The R&A expects all 8,000 tickets for each of the two days to quickly sell out.
An adult ticket costs £20.00 per day with juvenile tickets (under 16 years) available at £5.00 per day. Entry on practice days and to the Opening Ceremony on the evening of Friday, September 5 is free. Throughout the week there will be no charge for car parking.
GB&I have won the two previous matches, at Nairn in 1999 and two years ago at Sea Island, Georgia, and now they have the opportunity to enter the record books with a third consecutive win.
In aiming for this third win, the GB&I elite training squad and captain, Garth McGimpsey spent several days at Ganton earlier this month familiarising themselves with the course where the team of 10 players will return once the selection has been finalised at the end of July.
