HOLM SCOTTISH WOMEN'S STROKE-PLAY
Lisa Ball from Parklands was the best of the late finishers in the first round with a three-under-par round of 72 to take up third place behind Anne Laing (Vale of Leven), who equalled the Troon Portland course record of eight-under-par 67, and fellow-Scot Clare Queen (Drumpellier) who had a 70.
Lisa was out in three-under-par 35 with birdies at the second, third and ninth but then shed strokes to par at the 10th and 14th before getting back on track with birdies at the 15th and 18th for 37 (par) home.
