BROCKET HALL, HERTS WILL PLAY
HOST TO FALDO JUNIOR FINAL
Nick Faldo has announced that this year's Faldo Junior Series Final will be held at Brocket Hall Golf Club in Hertfordshire from September 2 to 4.
Faldo already enjoys a close relationship with the club which is located a few miles from his home town of Welwyn Garden City. He opened the UK's first Faldo Golf Institute at Brocket Hall in 2002 and was appointed president of the club for 2003 and 2004.
The Faldo Junior Series Final will be played over 36 holes on the par-72 Melbourne Course, designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark.
New BP Scottish boys champion Paul Doherty (Vale of Glamorgan) will be defending the title he won after a play-off at Burhill, Surrey last year.
There has been one Faldo Junior Series qualifying tournament so far this year. That was at Loch Lomond. There will be two more, at St Andrews on June 27 and Blairgowrie on July 3 after which the boys and girls who have qualified from the Scottish circuit for the Grand Final at Brocket Hall will be named.
